Core Competencies
hrltesting’s core competency is the development of processes for the recovery of base and precious metals from ores and concentrates. hrltesting has the capabilities and resources to assist projects from exploration stage onwards, and to provide process development services integrated with management and delivery of scoping and pre-feasibility studies. hrltesting can carry out comprehensive pilot-scale testwork in its laboratory facilities, as well as advanced process modelling using a range of mass and heat balance software including Metsim and HSC Chemistry.
hrltesting can add value to a project by providing professional metallurgical advice and process engineering support which is especially critical for projects in their early stages. Additionally hrltesting can assist clients through the more detailed feasibility and definitive studies by acting as their representative when dealing with engineering design houses.
Staffing
The laboratory maintains a broad range of professional staff in the areas of metallurgy, mineral processing and process engineering and in addition can call on specialist skills where required to support specific projects.
Facilities
The laboratory has extensive process and pilot plant workshops and well equipped laboratories. The laboratory is equipped with testwork equipment for most metallurgical processes and has the ability to construct and operate custom-built testwork plant for clients’ particular requirements.
All of the laboratory and workshop areas are fitted in accordance with the AS 2243 – Safety in Laboratories.
